McKenzie, TN
McKenzie is located in northern Carroll County, with a small point extending north into Henry County and an even smaller tip reaching west into Weakley County. Slightly bigger than Huntingdon with a population of 5,456, the city was organized in 1856 when the Nashville and Northwestern Railroad completed its track and intersected with the Memphis and Ohio Railroad. McKenzie is the home of Bethel University, with an undergraduate enrollment of over 2,000 and a rural setting on 100 acres. The football rivalry between McKenzie and Huntingdon High School dates back many decades.
