Camden is situated along Cypress Creek, near the creek’s modern confluence with the Kentucky Lake impoundment of the Tennessee River. The water offers a recreational paradise with great boating, tubing and canoeing and awesome fishing for crappie, bluegill, catfish and bass. Camden is the county seat of Benton County, with a population of approximately 3,600. The Patsy Cline Memorial Weekend pays tribute to the legendary singer who lost her life here in a 1963 plane crash.
